La Casa Azul or Blue House was the birth place of Frida Kahlo and the same home she passed away. Frida Kahlo was born in 1907 and died in 1954.
Located in one of Mexico City’s upscale neighborhoods, Coyocan, today La Casa Azul is one of Mexico City’s most popular museums. The museum showcases the home in which Frida Kahlo so much enjoyed throughout her lifetime.
La Casa Azul contains some of Frida’s most important works: Long Live Life (1954), Frida and the Caesarian Operation (1931), and Portrait of My Father Wilhelm Kahlo (1952), among others.
